Re: Newest gun or latest upgrade

Nice find! Especially with all the spare mags. My latest upgrade: I put a TLR-7A on my G23.4. Got a Werx M7 owb holster for the 23/TLR7 combo and put a Safariland paddle attachment on it. A Remora IWB is on the way. This gets me to my stopping point for purchases for the time being. When ammo comes ...

Re: Newest gun or latest upgrade

Holster: I got 2-- a Remora that doesn't quite work for carry. Not so much a problem with the holster, per se, but how I chose it to be cut. I should've gone with what I believe they refer to as their Artemis cut. It shaves some off of the side of the holster allowing better grip purchase. I have ot...

Re: Newest gun or latest upgrade

The TLR-6 is producing almost the same lumens as the first tactical light I bought 15 years ago. At that time one of the most popular gun lights was only producing about 60 lumens and that was considered great. It is more than enough for indoor use. No, it probably is not going to blind someone but ...

Re: Newest gun or latest upgrade

Brand on the conversion barrel is a Double Diamond from the GlockStore. Yes, this is a slippery slope and I do want to eventually get the 357Sig barrel because it completes the set, so to speak. My plan is to run some 9mm through a .40 mag just to give it a go. It is nice to know that it can be done...

Re: Newest gun or latest upgrade

It has been a while since I was last on the forum or made any posts. So, here's to catching up! My latest upgrade is a 9mm conversion barrel for my 23.4. I hope to get to the range this week and put it through its paces. I got 5 G19 mags and put +2 extensions on 3 of them. This will become my nights...

Re: Night vision: Binocular or monocular?

I got the Bushnell Equinox Z2 today. I'll put it through some of its paces tonight. We are overcast right now with rain coming in but I'll see what it'll do. I'll probably start a separate thread for a review after I have had some time with it.

Re: Night vision: Binocular or monocular?

I am about to pull the trigger on this. Yesterday I found what turned out to be a meth kit in the woods behind my house. It almost certainly washed into the middle of my lot last week when TS Zeta came through. The thing is it had to have been hidden relatively close due to the density of the woods ...

Re: Your EDC light

I like how both of those operate on a simple AA or AAA and yet still provide very respectable output and times. It is interesting that the phrase "very respectable outputs and times" is just that. In comparison to what is available today that is a true statement. 10 years ago the phrase w...

Re: Your EDC light

I use an Olight i3t for EDC and am very happy with it. I am toying with the idea of getting one of the AA models (i5), but honestly, the size of this light is perfect for pocket carry.

Re: The canteen/water bottle thread

Excellent thread! For the past decade or so my standard canteens have been nalgene bottles. I need to shift to a stainless canteen. So I am all sorts of happy to see the recommendations in this thread. I was unaware (as I am with so many things-- ignorance is bliss) that the old army type canteen is...
