Re: Finally got one- Sig 365
$420? I am sooo envious! Welcome to the club! I would keep the 12 rounders and just buy a couple of 10 rounders. You can never have too many magazines. I may eventually do the "David thing" and put a light on mine. I have been very impressed by how well this little pistol shoots. And I agr...

Re: What information are you giving away?
I think that David brings up a valid point for consideration. I came to this conclusion several years ago-- people give away too much personal information far too easily.

Re: Woods carry
OK. I just posted on the 357mag/sig question. Here I'll add .22lr to the list. I've done more woods walking with a .22 of some sort than anything else. So my picks were .22lr, 38spec, and 357mag. When I have toted a .357 I have always carried some .38 rounds as well. Especially some shot shells. Var...

Re: Woods Carry: 357sig or 357 magnum
Gotta go 357mag on this. The flexibility of ammo choices wins for me. My first center-fire handgun was a 6" 686 that I bought, brand new, in 1984. That is what I cut my handgun "teeth" on, so to speak. Because of that I have a soft spot for a revolver. I no longer have that gun but do...

Re: So...what would you like to get next?
My next full on gun purchase will probably be a Sig P320 full-size. This will be in keeping with my shifting to 9mm for my primary caliber. In all likelihood I'll probably get a 9mm conversion barrel (plus mags, plus recoil assembly) for my gen4 G23. My wish list is long but I am covered for the bas...

Re: Diversification or Consolidation
I think it is more important to consolidate platforms. You have the same manual of arms. All the major manufacturers will have full, compact, and subcompact pistols in the same platform. Size doesn't matter-- they will all operate the same. Rifles the same but a bit less maker specific. ARs and AKs ...

Re: Newest gun or latest upgrade
Make sure to illuminate the pistol itself. If it doesn't scare an intruder it may just impress them. Nice setup!Ronin.45 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2020 4:31 pm My nightstand gun just got a little more compact.

Re: Diversification or Consolidation
My vote is for diversification. I do have a caveat, though. Stick to realistic calibers. Pick your primary and prioritize those purchases. Establish your secondary and or tertiary and buy accordingly. Most of us enjoy shooting and we like a variety of different guns in different calibers. And we hav...

Re: Guns-n-ammo buying craze
Fortunately, those that knew this was coming were already stocked up in both categories. And they knew well enough not to just have ONE go-to caliber of choice. Those that didn't learn the lesson from the last go-around and those that are new to the thought process are paying for those decisions. Y...
